Yet, what keeps one hooked to the book is Ashfaq Ahmed’s storytelling, his mastery of words. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. He also used to teach Urdu at Rome university. The thing that I love about short stories in general is the fact that very thin outlines are enough to create characters that the readers begin to care about naturally but of course that requires serious craftsmanship which not everyone possesses All of the stories paint a picture of a certain type of love, therefore it is difficult to pick one out as a favorite. However, I left last two stories for some later occassion.
