All in all, not only is this one of the best history books I have ever read, it is one of the best popular science books I have read, period. I learned a tremendous amount about things I was not aware and the ability to see it happening in sequence around the globe was very well done. I am amazed I was able to get this book read. It is quite admirable, how with just a few paragraphs dedicated to each event or “day”, as the book sets out to present themthe authors manage to conjure up lively images of events past and really help the reader understand what was going on.
